- What IS a storage unit, exactly?
It’s simple! You rent the designated space from us month to month. You can store your items within (with the exception of items restricted by our rental agreements), and you can access them as needed within our allotted access hours.
- How long is a lease for storage in Port Orchard?
At Sentry Self Storage, we offer flexible monthly rentals. This means NO long-term commitments. Not sure how long you’ll need your unit upfront? No worries! Plans change a couple of months in? That’s alright, too!
- Do you have storage space for my boat or vehicle in Port Orchard?
We do! Our 10 x 20 drive-up storage units can be used to store any vehicles that will fit.
- Is there a deposit to rent storage?
We do require a modest security deposit equal to one month’s rent. That amount is refunded once you move out assuming no past due balance owing, that unit is clean and all items are removed.
- Is there a security deposit? What does it cover?
We ask for a deposit upon move-in that is equal to one month's rent. This is potentially used for any damage, required cleaning by our staff, disposal of abandoned property including boxes or garbage, or unpaid rent. As long as your storage unit is left in the same condition it was when you moved in, you will be refunded your full deposit.
- Do you provide a lock?
We can provide you with a heavy-duty cylinder lock for a one-time purchase of $20.00. We’ll add the cost onto your total move-in cost, and you’ll find the lock waiting for you in your storage unit. If you already have a lock, let us know, and we will waive the $20.00.
- Do you require insurance?
No, but it is recommended. We are not liable for any theft or damage to your belongings. You can either provide us with a copy of your homeowner's or renter's insurance declarations page, or you can purchase up to $2K coverage for $11.00 per month. Give us a call to learn more.
- How do I move out?
Please call or email to let us know you’re moving out. Leave the empty unit unlocked. Take the lock and key with you! We’ll inspect the unit and refund your security deposit to your original payment method, provided the unit is cleaned out and undamaged.
